We're partnering with an exciting and rapidly growing FinTech scale-up that's looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join its expanding engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of growth, where you'll play a key role in building and scaling cloud infrastructure, improving automation, and strengthening the security of the platform.

You'll work across AWS infrastructure, CI/CD, networking, identity, security, and infrastructure as code, collaborating closely with engineering and security teams to ensure the platform remains secure, resilient, and scalable. If you're a hands-on DevOps Engineer who enjoys working across cloud infrastructure and security and wants to have a genuine impact in a growing business this could be a great next step.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Work across AWS services including EC2, Lambda, and other core AWS technologies
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Manage AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, routing, and connectivity
  • Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles
  • Implement platform hardening and security best practices across the AWS environment
  • Integrate cloud infrastructure and applications with security tooling, including SIEM, DLP, and other security platforms
  • Manage identity and access controls across the environment, including SSO, IAM, and least-privilege access
  • Monitor and improve platform security, reliability, performance, and resilience
  • Support and optimise MongoDB environments
  • Work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to improve deployment processes and developer experience
  • Contribute to the evolution of DevOps and cloud engineering best practices as the company continues to scale

What We're Looking For

  • Proven commercial experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering role
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including services such as EC2 and Lambda
  • Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
  • Exposure to Kubernetes and Docker environments, with an understanding of deploying, managing, and troubleshooting workloads
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
  • Good understanding of AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing, and security groups
  • Experience with cloud security and platform hardening
  • Knowledge of integrating platforms with security tooling such as SIEM and DLP solutions
  • Experience managing identity and access controls, including AWS IAM and SSO
  • Commercial experience working with MongoDB
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, authentication, authorisation, and least-privilege principles
  • Scripting tool of your choice - Bash, Rust, Python etc.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams
