Principal Accountabilities And Deliverables
Assay Development Student Technician is accountable for:
- Supporting development of new products with the Project Leader or Senior Development Scientist.
- Ensuring Laboratory is maintained, tidy and equipment is calibrated.
- Ensuring the system is fit for purpose.
- Ensuring compliance with the IDS Quality System.
- Adhering to all Health and Safety protocols.
Assay Development Technician tasks and deliverables:
- Performing daily assays.
- Manufacture of R&D buffers and reagents.
- Conducting accurate laboratory records as required.
- Compilation of data in preparation for analysis by the Project Leader or Senior Development Scientist.
- Perform laboratory maintenance.
- Perform routine equipment calibration.
- Perform daily/weekly/monthly system maintenance as required.
- Uphold accurate laboratory records in accordance with IDS Quality System.
- Lab records include data analysis and full experimental details.
- Manage own time on a daily basis.
Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- In education studying for a BSc in science (Biochemistry or Biomedicine preferable).
Skills & Knowledge:
- A basic understanding of immunoassay technology.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Ability to work alone with limited supervision.
- Ability to work as a team.
- Ability to operate relevant equipment as required.
- Ability to work to IDS procedures.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
- Good communication skills.
Experience:
- No experience required but beneficial to have practical lab experience through current education of Bachelor degree.
