Our portfolio includes specialized mammalian host cell lines and expression systems, designed to produce viral vector therapeutics of choice. Through our gene editing expertise, we deliver custom cell line engineering services that precisely tailor bioproduction cell lines to meet our clients' specific manufacturing requirements for viral vector therapeutics.
As a Senior Scientist in our R&D team, you will serve as our lentiviral vectors subject matter expert, spearheading the development of Revvity's lentiviral vector offering including supporting further development of our transduction enhancer LentiBOOST. You will develop cutting-edge vector systems specifically engineered to improve lentiviral vector tropism and transduction efficiency. This role requires close collaboration with the Revvity Gene Delivery group to ensure seamless integration of vector technologies and optimize delivery strategies across therapeutic applications. This lab-based role requires hands-on expertise and deep knowledge of lentiviral vector biology, production and purification, with previous experience in engineering lentiviral vectors for delivery of large and complex cargo, as well as transduction assays and potency assay development and validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead independent research projects from design through execution, analysis, and troubleshooting with meticulous attention to detail
- Drive innovation to enhance Revvity's lentiviral vector offering
- Support further development of the LentiBOOST portfolio
- Foster collaborative relationships across Revvity departments (Vectorology and Process Development teams amongst others)
- Maintain comprehensive laboratory documentation and develop standard operating procedures
- Present clear, concise data at both internal and external meetings
Essential Competencies & Requirements
- Ph.D. plus minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in a relevant scientific discipline (virology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or genetics)
- Proven track record designing and optimizing lentiviral vectors and purification processes, with direct experience in transduction workflows, including assay development and optimization
- Advanced technical skills in molecular biology, cell biology, cell culture, and flow cytometry
- Strong leadership capabilities with ability to drive innovation and scientific excellence
- Exceptional team collaboration skills with strong communication abilities and meticulous attention to detail
- Previous experience in envelope protein engineering and pseudo-typing strategies would be a plus.
- Previous experience working in Global and commercial environments would be preferred
- Demonstrated scientific curiosity with a proactive approach to knowledge development
