The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

This position, as a member of the Production team, is specifically responsible for assistance with the manufacture of Oxford Immunotec products to the relevant quality standards. Note the role is for a fixed period of 12 months.

Role Description:

  • Assist in the manufacture of components and products, including labelling and product assembly, all according to the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Act as a checker in all manufacturing processes whilst training as an Operator.
  • Assist in the maintenance of appropriate stock levels and contribute to the management of the proper flow of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods.
  • Complete Manufacturing batch records and related documentation.
  • Ensure that production runs are completed to agreed timelines.
  • Communicate any likely delays or issues with a given activity to the appropriate Team Lead in a timely manner.
  • Read Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and specifications, and maintain appropriate records.
  • Perform duties in other departments on an occasional basis to meet critical company objectives as requested.
  • Ensure all work is performed to agreed time scales and that senior staff are kept up to date with progress as appropriate.

Role Requirements:

  • Desirable Technical skills and abilities:
  • An understanding of quality conscience industries such as diagnostic, medical or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Experience or knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes.
  • Familiarity with Quality System concepts and requirements including GMP and ISO systems.
  • Essential Technical skills and abilities:
    • Knowledge of Windows and Office based applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • BTEC or Equivalent.
    • Ability to organise and prioritise workloads.
    • Previous work experience.
  • Emotional skills and abilities:
    • Capable of handling multiple tasks at the same time.
    • Capable of working effectively in a team environment.
    • Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
