Vehicle Technician / Mechanic Location: Stanford-le-Hope, Essex Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Recruitment Agency: Revved Up Recruitment About the Role Revved Up Recruitment is working with an independent garage in Stanford-le-Hope that is looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled all-round mechanic who enjoys working on a variety of vehicles and carrying out everything from routine servicing to more complex mechanical repairs. The successful candidate will be confident working independently, diagnosing faults and completing jobs to a high standard. The garage is looking for someone with solid practical experience who can turn their hand to most aspects of general vehicle maintenance and repair.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine servicing and scheduled vehicle maintenance. Diagnose mechanical faults and identify effective repair solutions. Complete clutch replacements and associated mechanical repairs. Carry out engine repairs and other complex mechanical work. Undertake general mechanical repairs across a range of vehicles. Inspect vehicles and identify faults or additional work required. Use workshop tools and diagnostic equipment effectively. Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard. Maintain a clean, organised and professional working environment.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Motor Mechanic or similar. Strong all-round mechanical knowledge and practical repair experience. Experience carrying out servicing, clutch replacements and engine work. Confidence diagnosing faults and working through repairs independently. A reliable, hardworking attitude with pride in the quality of your work. Ability to work efficiently as part of a small independent garage team.
Relevant automotive qualifications are advantageous, but practical experience and the ability to carry out a wide range of mechanical work are key. Salary and Working Hours Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per annum , depending on experience and ability. Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 6:00pm Saturday available if wanted Full-time, permanent position.
