The Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs by:
- Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
- Supporting behaviour regulation and positive engagement
- Working closely with teaching and support staff
- Delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions
- Acting as a consistent and positive role model
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is resilient, patient and genuinely passionate about supporting young people. Key qualities include:
- Experience working with children or young people in education, care, youth work or similar settings
- Confident supporting behaviour and emotional needs
- Calm, empathetic and consistent in approach
- Committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- Experience in an alternative provision, PRU or SEMH setting is desirable but not essential
