A growing and ambitious law firm is seeking an experienced Housing Disrepair Team Leader to join its Accrington office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to lead and develop a team handling housing disrepair matters, while also managing their own caseload within a fast-paced and supportive environment. The firm is looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent client care, achieving strong outcomes, and supporting the development of a high-performing team.
The Role
- You will oversee and support a team of fee earners handling housing disrepair claims, ensuring files are progressed efficiently and in line with client and business expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing team capacity and ensuring workloads are distributed effectively
- Supervising, motivating, and supporting team members through regular meetings and 1-2-1s
- Managing your own housing disrepair caseload from inception to conclusion
- Ensuring a consistently high standard of client service and legal advice
- Working towards departmental targets and performance objectives
- Supporting team development and promoting a positive working culture
- Maintaining compliance with CPR and relevant housing conditions case law
- Managing client expectations and ensuring matters progress efficiently
Requirements
- Previous housing disrepair experience is essential
- Experience supervising or leading a team is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of CPR and housing conditions litigation
- Ability to manage a litigated caseload independently
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-care skills
- Target-driven with strong organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workload
