We are seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and proactive Master Data Manager to own the end-to-end product and logistics data lifecycle across our mass beauty portfolio. In this systems- and strategy-driven role, you will act as the ultimate gatekeeper of full product data, establishing data governance standards and ensuring that complex cosmetic datasets flawlessly integrate across our supply chain, regulatory, and commercial functions. This is a role for an operational leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at cross-functional coordination, and enjoys creating structure, data integrity, and streamlined workflows across global business systems.
What you'll do:
- Master Data Governance
- Develop, implement, and maintain master data management policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure total accuracy and completeness of data.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Compliance, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to architect best practices, tools, trackers, and workflows for smooth data management from concept to launch.
- Act as the owner of Smartsheet workflows and workspaces to ensure integrity and flow of product projects data resulting in end state data accuracy handover to MD and Suppliers.
- Act as the business-wide gatekeeper for all product and logistical data, leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data transit and reliability throughout the organization.
- System Integration & Global Portals
- Oversee and execute full product data entry into existing and new business systems as well as global external partner portals and business systems.
- Ensure critical data parameters - ranging from formulations, classifications, and regulatory registrations to physical logistical dimensions—are accurately supplied and updated globally.
- Architect data lifecycle protocols to maintain a clean, active product assortment, ensuring obsolete data is systematically archived or removed in compliance with legal and regulatory timelines.
- Cross-Functional Operations & Data Migration
- Partner closely with IT, the ERP Manager, and the Sales/Commercial teams to balance external reseller requirements with system capabilities, delivering smooth and accurate global data solutions.
- Lead new data migration, system onboarding, and integration activities across different business software.
- Control and authorize data amendments and system updates to prevent data corruption and maintain absolute accuracy across all business functions.
- Industry Compliance & Partner relationship
- Build and maintain close working relationships with system vendors, retail partners, and industry bodies to optimize data workflows and safeguard business interests.
- Ensure all master data structures continuously comply with shifting international industry standards and global retail requirements.
What you'll have:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in master data management, data governance, or supply chain analytics, ideally within the cosmetics, FMCG, or a highly regulated consumer goods industry.
- Technical Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and industry data synchronization networks/compliance portals (GS1, 1WorldSync, WERCSmart). Highly proficient in advanced Excel/data tools.
- Systems Thinking: Strong understanding of how data moves between different platforms (integrations) and how data structures impact supply chain and commercial efficiency.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to lead system migrations, data clean-up projects, or cross-functional workflow implementations.
- Personal Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail balanced with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. A process-driven, analytical thinker who naturally takes the initiative to streamline workflows and communicates technical data constraints clearly to non-technical teams.
