We're looking for an experienced Model Governance Manager with expertise in data science and advanced analytics for the application, validation, and oversight of ML/AI models, including LLMs and generative AI. You'll challenge existing modelling processes and elevate them to new standards, supporting Revolut's growth and ensuring models drive business decisions, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

What you'll be doing

  • Establishing, maintaining, and enforcing our model risk management (MRM) framework, ensuring models comply with firmwide policies
  • Maintaining model inventory data integrity by resolving exceptions from automated checks and managing model classifications, changes, and deactivations
  • Partnering with the Technology team to maintain systems supporting model risk management workflows, driving efforts towards increased efficiency and automation
  • Engaging with auditors and regulators on model risk management topics
  • Overseeing process efficiency, including reporting and controls assessments
  • Coordinating with key parties to train stakeholders on policy and related requirements, ensuring understanding and adherence to any significant changes
  • Monitoring and implementing emerging global AI regulations (such as the EU AI Act or the UK’s approach to AI regulation) alongside traditional banking frameworks (SR 11-7 or SS1/23)

What you'll need

  • 5+ years of experience in the financial industry focusing on model risk, including governance, development, or validation
  • Knowledge of models used across the firm's business spectrum
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating deliverables to regulators and stakeholders of various seniorities
  • Impressive analytical and quantitative skills
  • A team-oriented approach with great interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Familiarity with SQL and data visualisation tools

Nice to have

  • Experience in banking or financial services, handling model risk findings with regulators and collaborating with internal audit teams
  • Knowledge of AI/ML model governance, explainability, or advanced analytics in financial services
  • Familiarity with cloud-based model deployment or monitoring solutions
  • Proficiency in Python
