About the role

Our Regulatory Affairs team builds transparent, high-trust relationships with regulators to keep Revolut moving forward with confidence. As we continue our rapid global growth, we are seeking a mid-level Regulatory Affairs Manager to join our Group team and support the successful rollout of Revolut’s Regulatory Engagement Policy to local teams in expansion markets (outside the UK and EEA). In this role, you will act as a coordinator between the Group Regulatory Affairs team and local teams in expansion markets, ensuring they are aligned with Revolut's global best practices for regulatory engagement. You will support the Lead Regulatory Affairs Manager – Expansions in overseeing local teams during the licensing process and as they transition into business-as-usual (BAU) supervision.

Your primary goal is to support Revolut achieve its expansion goals by ensuring that regulatory engagements are managed effectively by the local teams, while ensuring a seamless flow of information between the local teams and group.

You will be required to:

  • Manage complexity: Handle multiple expansion projects simultaneously, identifying and resolving potential regulatory bottlenecks before they impact licensing timelines.
  • Influence: Ensure teams participating in expansion initiatives operate with the "compliance-first" mindset and the quality standards expected at Revolut.
  • Drive alignment: Skillfully manage internal communications to ensure the Group and local teams are perfectly synced on regulatory strategy.

What you'll be doing

  • Operational Readiness & Oversight: Ensure local teams in expansion markets are fully prepared from a Regulatory Affairs standpoint before launching operations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the central point of contact between the Group and local teams, ensuring a two-way flow of information. You will keep local teams informed of Group developments to share with their regulators, while keeping Group regulators updated on expansion progress.
  • Licensing Facilitation: Support local teams throughout the licensing process to ensure there are no roadblocks. This includes: Reviewing critical communications and Regulatory Business Plans. Reviewing Requests for Information (RFIs). Preparing local teams for key regulatory meetings and attending when necessary.
  • Training & Attestation: Ensure local team members are formally appointed and trained to lead regulatory engagements in their respective territories.
  • Monitoring & Performance: Monitor the performance and adherence of local teams to Regulatory Affairs processes, SLAs, and KPIs.
  • Reporting: Prepare high-quality management information and internal reports for Senior Management to provide oversight of expansion progress.
  • Process Improvement: Define and improve global processes to enhance coordination and oversight across all expansion jurisdictions.

What you'll need

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or risk management, reg change management within a financial institution, fintech, consultancy firm or regulatory body.
  • Stakeholder management skills: Exceptional ability to manage cross-functional relationships and coordinate across multi-jurisdictional internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical knowledge: A solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and the licensing process for financial services. A deep understanding of Revolut’s business model and product offerings would be beneficial too.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to distill complex technical or legal requirements into simple narratives for both internal teams and regulators.
  • Execution: A "Get It Done" attitude, comfortable navigating the ambiguity of a hyper-growth environment while maintaining high standards. Attention to detail is a must to “Deliver Wow”.
  • Education: A degree in Law, Public Policy, Business Administration, or Finance is preferred.
  • Language skills: Fluent English is required; command of other languages is a bonus.
