The Legal team transforms complexity into clear, practical advice that keeps the business moving fast while staying protected. We are looking for an Employment Counsel to advise local management and HR on employment matters throughout the full employment lifecycle, from global advice to supporting international expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Advising on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Drafting, reviewing, and updating employment contracts, internal policies, handbooks, and other employmentârelated documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with local and international labour laws across multiple jurisdictions.
- Managing employmentârelated risk and supporting internal compliance initiatives.
- Supporting internal investigations involving employee conduct or grievances.
- Advising on employment law matters during expansion into new markets.
- Collaborating with HR and other business stakeholders on crossâfunctional projects and strategic initiatives.
- Monitoring and assessing changes in labour laws and regulations, ensuring timely implementation and compliance.
- Liaising with external counsel on employment disputes, preâlitigation strategy, and settlements.
- Providing training and guidance to HR teams and managers on employment law topics and best practices.
- Master's degree or equivalent in law.
- 3+ years of experience in a law firm or international company.
- Ability to independently and proactively support a preventive employment approach.
- Experience developing and implementing best practices and policies in an innovative environment.
- Solid knowledge of employment laws with practical application experience.
- Expertise in crossâborder employment law.
- Fluency in English with impeccable communication skills.
- Excellent legal research skills.
- Knowledge of rules, laws, and oversight mechanisms governing financial firms.
