About Revolut

People deserve more from their money. More visibility, more control, and more freedom. Since 2015, Revolut has been on a mission to deliver just that. Our powerhouse of products — including spending, saving, investing, exchanging, travelling, and more — help our 75+ million customers get more from their money every day.

As we continue our lightning-fast growth, two things are essential to our success: our people and our culture. In recognition of our outstanding employee experience, we've been certified as a Great Place to Work™. So far, we have 13,000+ people working around the world, from our offices and remotely, to help us achieve our mission. And we're looking for more brilliant people. People who love building great products, redefining success, and turning the complexity of a chaotic world into the simplicity of a beautiful solution.

About the role

The Legal team turns complexity into clarity by partnering with teams across Revolut to provide sharp, practical advice that helps the business move fast while staying protected. From structuring credit programmes to navigating new markets, the Legal team ensures growth is secure, compliant, and built for the long term.

We're looking for a forward-thinking Legal Counsel to handle a diverse range of complex intellectual property matters on a global scale, from product approvals to high-stakes litigation. As a key member of a lean, high-impact team of two (supported by a Paralegal), you'll have a direct hand in how our IP strategy evolves.

What you'll be doing:

  • Increasing our global intellectual property portfolio through proactive registration and management
  • Limiting losses and managing risks associated with IP infringement claims and defensive IP processes
  • Providing legal guidance across various business units globally, ensuring products are cleared for launch through rigorous product approval processes
  • Handling pre-dispute matters and active litigation regarding IP infringement in the UK and international markets
  • Advising on cutting-edge technological elements and products that are new to the market, requiring creative legal solutions
  • Acting as a partner to the business by finding compliant "pathways to yes" rather than acting as a legal blocker
  • Drafting and Prosecuting Patents
  • Conducting thorough patentability and freedom-to-operate (FTO) searches to assess the viability of new inventions and identify potential infringement risks

What you'll need:

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Expertise in intellectual property law, specifically in registration, infringement claims, and defensive strategies
  • Experience dealing with IP matters across multiple jurisdictions (UK and global)
  • Experience preparing, filing and prosecuting high-quality patent applications before the EPTO (and/or international patent office)
  • A solution-oriented approach to be able to navigate legal blockers to achieve business goals
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced technology company while working on new features
  • Fluency in English
