- Owning the product and solution architecture with a key focus on quality control and code optimisation
- Managing and scaling distributed engineering teams across multiple locations
- Partnering closely with Product, Data, and Operations to define a high-impact roadmap and ship value fast
- Driving technical excellence, performance, scalability, and reliability across all systems
- Influencing best practices and helping to ensure these are consistently followed across the company
- Optimising and reviewing the performance of teams, with an aim to increase the quality of engineering as a functional leader
- Building new products from scratch, while evolving and optimising existing platforms
- Attracting, retaining, and developing top engineering talent, setting a high bar and leading by example
- Making data-driven decisions, balancing speed and quality, always pushing for efficiency
- Creating clarity in ambiguous environments and aligning tech efforts with business goals
What You\’ll Need
- Experience leading and scaling engineering teams, preferably in fintech or high-growth tech companies
- Deep technical background, ideally hands-on experience with backend systems, microservices, and distributed architectures
- An ownership mindset to take full responsibility for delivery, quality, and team performance
- Expertise designing and owning product and solution architecture, with a keen eye for code quality and optimisation
- A track record of building products from scratch and scaling them for millions of users
- Expertise in data-driven decision-making and using metrics to drive engineering excellence
- Exceptional leadership skills to inspire, develop, and retain high-performing engineering teams

- Experience hiring and managing remote teams across multiple time zones
- A passion for fintech innovation and a solid understanding of emerging financial technologies
