We’re looking for an Operational Resilience Manager to oversee and enhance our ability to withstand and recover from disruptions, ensuring the continuity of critical operations and services.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with departments and functions to assess and build resilient operations.
- Support global entities with their local operational resilience requirements.
- Design, implement, and test contingency plans, including business continuity plans, disaster recovery plans, crisis‑management procedures, and scenario playbooks.
- Lead the group stress‑testing programme, designing complex failure scenarios and conducting simulations.
- Support executives during crisis events to protect customers and the company.
- Conduct lessons‑learned activities after major events to continually improve procedures.
- Work closely with Product and Data teams to build a world‑class resiliency function.
- Use data and quantitative analysis to understand business operations and implement resilience strategies.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of business‑continuity initiatives and recommended improvements.
- Monitor emerging risks and industry trends, adapting resilience strategies to evolving threats and business needs.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, risk management, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in operational resilience, risk management, or business continuity within the financial industry.
- A solid understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to operational resilience and continuity planning.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Impeccable communication, deal‑making, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant tools and technologies used for risk assessment, resilience, and continuity planning.
- Basic SQL skills.
- (Nice to have) Business Continuity Institute Accreditation.
- (Nice to have) Experience implementing regulatory frameworks for operational resilience, including Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and FCA PS21/3.
