About the role
Risk at Revolut operates across all functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure the business operates safely. They're among the first to be involved in new initiatives, from tech to customer support.
We're looking for a Business Risk Manager to help scale the financial control environment for our UK Bank. Sitting within the 1st line of defence (1LoD), you'll build a best-in-class framework, where you'll directly oversee and improve controls, not just advise on them.
What you'll be doing:
- Building and embedding a 1LoD risk and control framework within our UK Bank
- Performing and enhancing control testing
- Leading risk and control self-assessments (RCSA)
- Driving incident management and root-cause analysis
- Producing control reporting for senior leadership and board-level stakeholders
- Supporting rollout of a group-wide Sox framework
- Partnering with 2LoD, auditors, and regulators
- Identifying control gaps and proactively improving processes
- Helping to scale controls in a high-growth, tech-driven environment
What you'll need:
- A 2:1 degree from a top university
- 3+ years of experience in operational risk management within financial services
- Experience with risk identification, monitoring, and controls (implementation and testing)
- Previous examples of practically interpreting and organising complex data
- A solid track record of achievement, having won competitive awards (can be academic, professional, and/or sport)
- The ability to quickly assume responsibilities
- An organised and methodological approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with end-to-end Sox implementation
- A background working in a Big 4 or large bank in the UK/US
- Knowledge of tech-enabled/automated controls
- Accounting or audit certifications
Building a global financial super app isn't enough. Our Revoluters are a priority, and that's why in 2021 we launched our inaugural D&I Framework, designed to help us thrive and grow every day. We're not just doing this because it's the right thing to do. We're doing it because we know that seeking out diverse talent and creating an inclusive workplace is the way to create exceptional, innovative products and services for our customers. That's why we encourage applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences to join this multicultural, hard-working team.
