We are looking for someone to build, mature, and lead the organisation's Data Engineering Practice. This is a leadership focused role, not particularly hands on, but needs credibility understanding modern tooling, such as Databricks and with a passion for developing people, driving standards etc.
What you'll be doing:
- Help shape and grow their Data Engineering Practice
- Support and mentor engineers, helping progress their careers
- Act as the link between engineering teams and senior leadership
- Drive the adoption of modern DE approaches, with a focus on AI and MLOps
What we're looking for:
- Experience leading data engineering teams, practices, or communities
- A strong DE background, with hands on experience of Databricks
- Good knowledge of AWS and modern data architectures
- Recent exposure to AI and MLOps
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- The technical credibility to ask the right questions, challenge when needed, and make sure the team is delivering high-quality solutions
