We require a Systems Administrator / Platform Engineer with experience managing secure, reliable infrastructure across Windows, Linux and virtualised environments. Skilled in Active Directory (users, groups, GPO design), VMware VM provisioning, and enforcing configuration standards across enterprise systems.
This is a hybrid role - 2/3 days a week in Bristol (there may be some flex here).
Salary is dependent on experience, usually slightly above market rate and with a 10% bonus.
Strong background in networking (DNS, routing, firewalls incl. Cisco) and identity & access management, applying least privilege principles. Experienced in patching, system hardening, automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python), and maintaining logging/telemetry for monitoring and incident response.
Proven ability to support DevSecOps and Security teams, implement security controls, and respond to incidents (containment, remediation). Confident working with MSPs, managing infrastructure changes in a controlled, auditable manner, and resolving configuration drift and reliability issues.
