*Duties*
* Perform thorough MOT testing on a wide range of vehicle makes and models, adhering strictly to legal and safety standards.
* Conduct detailed inspections of vehicle components such as brakes, lights, suspension, exhaust systems, and steering mechanisms.
* Use hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs or adjustments identified during testing.
* Record test results accurately and prepare detailed reports for each vehicle inspected.
* Communicate findings clearly to customers, explaining necessary repairs or maintenance actions.
* Assist in maintaining the MOT bay’s cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Support other workshop activities as needed, including heavy lifting of vehicle parts or equipment.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience as a qualified MOT tester with relevant certification/license.
* Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
* Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards.
* Good communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to customers.
* Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining accuracy.
