Full-Time Level 3 Nursery Practitioner – Baby Room

Location: Fishburn & Murton (cover required across both sites)

Salary: £13.00 per hour

Hours: Full-time | All-year-round position

Join Our Team! We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team on a full-time, permanent basis, with a focus on our Baby Room. This role will involve working across our Fishburn and Murton nursery sites, providing exceptional care and supporting babies through the earliest stages of their learning and development.

At our nursery, we provide a natural, calming, and stimulating environment that meets the individual needs of every child in our care. Our thoughtfully designed rooms inspire curiosity, spark imagination, and promote children's personal, social, and emotional development. Our highly trained practitioners support children to understand the world around them while encouraging creativity, confidence, and self-expression through meaningful play and learning experiences.

As we already have three apprentices within the team, applicants must hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.

About Our Baby Room: Our Baby Room has been thoughtfully designed to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where babies can thrive. We have a dedicated area for babies who are not yet mobile, allowing them to explore, play, and develop safely at their own pace. Children are encouraged to learn through a range of age-appropriate experiences and activities that support:

  • Social and emotional development.
  • Physical development.
  • Communication and language skills.
  • Early mark-making and creative exploration.

The room also includes a soft, calming sleep and rest area with low-level lighting and soothing music, creating a peaceful environment for babies when they need to rest. It benefits from direct access to the outdoor area, as well as its own bathroom and changing facilities, ensuring children's daily routines are supported with comfort and ease.

What We're Looking For:

  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
  • Previous experience working in a nursery setting.
  • Baby room experience is desirable, although we would also welcome applications from practitioners who are keen to develop their skills, as training can be provided for the right candidate.
  • A warm, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting babies' individual needs.
  • Flexibility to work across both our Fishburn and Murton sites when required.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time, all-year-round position.
  • Shifts start from 7:45am.
  • Rotas are provided one week in advance.

What We Offer:

  • £13.00 per hour.
  • Ongoing CPD through in-house training and Local Authority professional development.
  • Career progression opportunities across both nursery sites.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Staff discount.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • A supportive, welcoming team where your professional development is encouraged.

Safeguarding: We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references.
