Room Leader – Early Years Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 Pay: £14.00- £14.50 per hour Hours: 30+ hours per week with flexible working days Contract: Permanent Ready to Take Your First Step into Leadership? Are you an experienced Level 3 Nursery Practitioner who is ready to progress into a Room Leader position? Perhaps you already have leadership experience and are looking for a nursery that genuinely values its team. Revive EY is working with a vibrant, child-centred nursery in Newcastle upon Tyne to recruit a passionate Level 3 Room Leader. Previous Room Leader experience is welcomed but is not essential. The nursery is happy to consider an experienced Level 3 Practitioner who has not yet worked as a Room Leader but has the confidence, knowledge and ambition to take the next step. About the Nursery The nursery supports approximately 50 children and has a dedicated team of around 14 staff. Children learn through meaningful, real-world experiences, including nature exploration, beach visits, outdoor cinema activities and trips to local attractions. The nursery believes childhood should be filled with adventure, discovery and fun. You will join a warm and collaborative team where: * Staff ideas and creativity are welcomed * Achievements are recognised * Professional development is encouraged * The leadership team is approachable and supportive The Role As Room Leader, you will: * Support the effective day-to-day running of your room * Lead by example and help motivate your team * Deliver high-quality care and education * Plan creative activities and experiences in line with the EYFS * Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment * Act as a key person and build secure relationships with children * Complete and oversee observations, assessments and development records * Build positive partnerships with parents and carers * Maintain excellent safeguarding and health and safety standards * Work closely with the Nursery Manager and leadership team * Support less-experienced practitioners Full support and mentoring will be available if this is your first Room Leader position. About You To be considered, you must: * Hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification or above * Have strong experience working within an Early Years setting * Have a good understanding of the EYFS * Be confident, organised and ready to take on additional responsibility * Communicate effectively with children, families and colleagues * Be passionate about providing high-quality Early Years care * Have the right to work in the UK * Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one Previous Room Leader experience is not required. SENCO experience or additional SEND knowledge would be an advantage.
