This is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming nursery with a strong reputation for high-quality childcare, where you'll lead the baby room while working alongside the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager as part of the leadership team.
About the Nursery
Our client is a family-owned nursery with a long-standing reputation for providing exceptional care and education for children aged 0-5.
Their vision is to create a warm, homely environment where every child feels safe, valued and inspired to learn.
They believe every child is unique and deserves a personalised learning journey that nurtures confidence, curiosity and independence.
The nursery cares for 88 children across four rooms and has a dedicated team of 18 staff.
They have recently embarked on their Curiosity Approach Accreditation journey, placing creativity, exploration and child-led learning at the heart of everything they do.
The team culture is friendly, supportive and child-focused.
Staff work collaboratively, communicate openly and genuinely support one another.
As the nursery continues to grow, they are looking for a confident Third in Charge to become an integral part of the leadership team and help maintain the high standards the setting is known for.
The Role
- Lead and inspire the baby room team to deliver exceptional care and learning.
- Create a nurturing, stimulating environment where babies can flourish.
- Support the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery.
- Lead by example, maintaining high standards of safeguarding and Early Years practice.
- Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Coach and mentor your team, promoting confidence, consistency and professional growth.
- Help create an enabling environment that encourages curiosity, independence and a lifelong love of learning.
What We're Looking For
- Holds a relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
- Has previous experience leading an Early Years room, ideally within a baby room.
- Is an approachable and inspiring leader.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is passionate about delivering outstanding childcare.
- Shares the nursery's values of teamwork, nurturing relationships and child-centred learning.
- Salary & Hours
- 40 hours per week
