The nursery provides a positive, warm and inclusive environment where children are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning. Its spacious setting, beautiful garden and varied curriculum provide stimulating learning opportunities throughout the day.
About the Nursery:
- The nursery supports approximately 31 children across three rooms and has a close-knit team of around eight practitioners.
- Its culture is warm, supportive and centred around the individual needs of every child.
- Children benefit from a varied curriculum that includes heuristic play, sensory activities, outdoor learning, cooking, Spanish and circle time.
- The nursery also has an on-site chef who prepares fresh meals each day while accommodating individual dietary requirements.
The Role:
- Provide high-quality care and learning experiences in line with the EYFS.
- Plan engaging activities based on children’s interests, needs and stages of development.
- Act as a key person, completing observations and building strong relationships with children and families.
- Support children’s daily routines while encouraging their confidence, curiosity and independence.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive environment and follow all safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety procedures.
- You will work closely with the wider nursery team to deliver consistent care and make effective use of the setting’s indoor and outdoor learning environments.
Requirements:
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting.
- A good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a caring and proactive approach.
- An enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one, alongside the right to work in the UK.
- Paediatric First Aid would be beneficial, although training can be completed if required.
