Job Description

Are you an experienced Early Years professional ready to take the next step in your leadership career?

Revive EYFS Recruitment is partnering with a well-established nursery in Farnborough to recruit a confident and passionate Nursery Deputy Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly setting with a strong teamwork ethic.

Working alongside the Nursery Manager, you will help lead a team of 11 staff and maintain high standards of care, education and safeguarding for approximately 57 children.

About the Nursery

The nursery provides professional care and education within a relaxed, happy and secure environment.

The Farnborough setting is arranged across two floors and includes a separate, self-contained baby centre.

Its child-centred approach supports children in developing the confidence, skills and values they need for the future.

Children benefit from stimulating indoor spaces, outdoor learning, sensory experiences, extracurricular activities and freshly prepared meals.

The setting has been rated Good by Ofsted and is committed to continually reviewing and improving its practice.

The Role

  • Support the Nursery Manager with the effective day-to-day operation of the setting.
  • Lead, motivate and support the nursery team while maintaining appropriate staffing and deployment.
  • Promote high-quality EYFS practice and ensure children's individual needs are consistently met.
  • Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, health and safety, welfare and regulatory compliance.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues and external professionals.
  • Support staff supervision, mentoring, training and performance development.
  • Step into the Nursery Manager's role and take responsibility for the setting when required.

You will be a visible and approachable leader who promotes strong teamwork, effective communication and a positive nursery culture.

Requirements

  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
  • Previous experience in a senior, room-leadership or nursery-management position.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding requirements and Early Years regulations.
  • Confident leadership, organisational and staff-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with families.
  • An enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one, alongside the right to work in the UK.

A higher-level Early Years qualification and previous Deputy Manager experience would be advantageous.
