JOB OVERVIEW

Revival House, a Pentecostal Church based in Manor Park, in the London Borough of Newham, UK, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth and Children’s Worker. This role is essential in engaging with children, young people, and their families, fostering their integration into the church community. Revival House serves a multi-ethnic congregation, with a particular focus on individuals from East Africa.

  • Salary: £19,188 per year
  • Hours: 30 hours per week (including weekends)
  • Additional Hours: May be required based on organisational needs

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Youth and Children’s Worker will collaborate with the Lead Minister to implement and communicate the church’s vision for youth and children’s ministry. The role involves planning, coordinating, and leading activities that encourage spiritual growth and community engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop opportunities for youth and children to grow spiritually.
  • Plan and organise events that support young people, children, and their families.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, carers, youth, and children.
  • Conduct regular outreach through calls and personal interactions with both active and inactive members.
  • Actively participate in church activities to foster connections with youth and their families.
  • Attend workshops and engage in personal development activities.
  • Encourage youth and family participation in various church initiatives.
  • Communicate event plans and activity schedules with parents.
  • Align youth programs with the church’s overall calendar.
  • Promote youth and children’s activities via social media and other communication channels.
