A growing RegTech SaaS business is looking for a Lead Implementation Specialist to join its client onboarding and implementation team. The company provides compliance technology to investment firms, helping clients manage complex regulatory, trading compliance and data-driven workflows. Following continued growth, they are expanding their implementation function and are looking for someone who can take ownership of high-value client onboarding projects. This is a senior, client-facing role suited to someone who has delivered complex SaaS implementations, managed senior stakeholders and guided clients through onboarding, UAT, training, go-live and handover. You do not need to be a hands-on engineer, but you will need to be comfortable working around software platforms, data workflows, configuration requirements, regulated clients and implementation risk.

The role

As Lead Implementation Specialist, you will own complex client onboarding projects from initial scoping through to go-live. You will act as the key point of contact for clients during implementation, helping them understand the platform, align workflows, prepare for UAT and move confidently into live use. You will work closely with internal Sales, Product, Technical and Support teams to make sure projects are well-scoped, well-managed and delivered smoothly. There is also a leadership element to the role. The onboarding team is growing, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to mentor junior team members, improve implementation processes and help build more scalable delivery practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead complex client onboarding and implementation projects from kickoff through to go-live.
  • Act as the main client contact throughout the implementation process.
  • Work with clients to understand their business workflows, compliance requirements, data needs and operational processes.
  • Review client data and workflows using internal tools, identifying gaps, discrepancies or areas that may create delivery risk.
  • Coordinate UAT, training, go-live readiness and handover into production use.
  • Manage client expectations around scope, timelines, priorities and key milestones.
  • Communicate clearly with senior client stakeholders and internal delivery teams.
  • Identify risks early and elevate delivery challenges before they impact client confidence or timelines.
  • Support post-go-live feedback and contribute to client health and risk visibility.
  • Improve onboarding documentation, templates, workflows and internal processes.
  • Mentor junior team members and help reduce reliance on single points of knowledge across the team.

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years’ experience in implementation, onboarding, client delivery, professional services or a similar role within a SaaS, FinTech, RegTech or enterprise software environment.
  • Strong experience managing external client implementations end-to-end.
  • Confidence working with senior client stakeholders and managing expectations professionally.
  • Experience across UAT, go-live planning, training, platform workflows, documentation and client handover.
  • Comfortable discussing data, configuration, workflows and technical concepts in a clear client-facing way.
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation and risk-management skills.
  • Ability to handle scope clarification, timeline pressure and client delivery challenges.
  • Experience improving implementation processes, documentation or delivery playbooks.
  • Mentoring or team enablement experience would be highly beneficial.
  • Exposure to investment management, trading compliance, regulatory reporting, financial services, RegTech or data-heavy SaaS environments would be highly advantageous.

Package

  • £45,000–£50,000 salary, with flexibility up to £55,000 for an exceptional candidate.
  • 10% performance and company-based bonus.
  • Hybrid working from Reading, typically 1–3 days per week in the office.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising yearly up to 29 days.
  • Pension.
  • Private healthcare options.
  • Annual salary reviews.
  • Clear progression and promotion pathway.
  • Opportunity to mentor others as the onboarding team grows.
