A specialist tax and regulatory technology business is looking for a Product Manager to help shape and deliver SaaS products used by businesses to keep pace with complex tax, financial and regulatory change. This is a role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of product, regulation, tax, data and software delivery.

You’ll be responsible for understanding upcoming legislative and regulatory changes, assessing the impact on customers, and translating that into clear product priorities, user stories, acceptance criteria and release plans. The role would suit someone from a tax technology, regulatory reporting, financial reporting, consultancy or SaaS product background who is comfortable working with complex subject matter and turning it into practical product outcomes.

The Role

  • You’ll contribute to the product vision, roadmap and prioritisation, working closely with engineering, customer success, sales, support, InfoSec, customers and external regulatory stakeholders.
  • A key part of the role will involve researching upcoming regulation and legislation, understanding who is in scope, what data is required, how customers will gather that data, and what product changes are needed to support them.
  • You’ll also coordinate product updates and launches, manage dependencies, communicate internal and external timelines, and ensure stakeholders have a clear understanding of upcoming releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research upcoming and changing tax, financial and regulatory requirements.
  • Translate regulatory change into product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Contribute to product strategy, roadmap planning and prioritisation.
  • Coordinate product launches and updates against internal and external deadlines.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver SaaS product enhancements.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders across customer success, sales, support, InfoSec and delivery.
  • Build a strong understanding of customer needs, data requirements and compliance challenges.
  • Communicate release timelines, dependencies and key product updates clearly across the business.
  • Support product adoption and ensure new releases are successfully embedded.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or product-focused Business Analyst.
  • Experience working on SaaS or software products.
  • Background in a regulated, financial, tax, accounting, reporting or compliance environment.
  • Ability to turn complex regulatory or legislative information into clear product requirements.
  • Experience working with agile development teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Figma or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver against tight deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to understand data, processes and customer requirements.

Exposure to any of the following is required, without it you will not be considered for this position: VAT, indirect tax, corporate tax, Pillar Two, Making Tax Digital, CESOP, FATCA, CRS, XBRL, iXBRL, ESEF, UKSEF, XML, statutory reporting, regulatory reporting, financial reporting, tax technology or regulatory change.
