This is a remote volunteer role for an Associate/Senior Drug Discovery/Development Editor. The Editor will be responsible for reviewing and editing submitted research articles in the field of drug discovery and development.

Responsibilities

  • Review and edit submitted research articles in the field of drug discovery and development, ensuring scientific accuracy.
  • Provide constructive feedback to authors and update the reviewers pool; assist in reaching out to potential peer reviewers.
  • Collaborate with other editorial team members to maintain high publishing standards.
  • Contribute to the development of new editorial initiatives and actively support RevisX's mission.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in scientific editing, proofreading, and manuscript reviews.
  • Strong understanding of drug discovery, pharmaceutical sciences, and related disciplines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a team and provide constructive feedback to authors.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a remote setting.
  • A Ph.D. degree in biochemistry, pharmacology, molecular biology, or a related field is preferred.

Commitment

This role is designed to be lightweight, typically small manuscript volume per month (3 max) and a time of 4-6 hours per week in addition to a biweekly 1 hour meeting.
