HRM is a small but highly personalised revenue management consultancy specialising in independent hotels across the UK. We bring a high-touch, tailored approach to every client, recognising that every property is unique. Our work centres on helping hotels optimise pricing, distribution and commercial strategy through detailed analysis, strong partnerships, and smart tactical execution. Our ethos is collaborative, supportive and hands-on — you’ll work closely with me (Georgina Neal) and Gemma on client delivery and internal revenue operations. We value initiative, curiosity and a desire to build meaningful commercial impact for our clients. Our clients are typically independent hospitality businesses who want to grow revenue and occupancy while making smart data-driven decisions about pricing and distribution.
Role Overview
We’re looking for an organised, analytical and detail-orientated Revenue Assistant to support the delivery of our core revenue services. You’ll work across reporting, data collection, pricing activities and channel optimisation — helping to support revenue strategy and execution for a portfolio of independent hotels. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with front office/reservations experience who’s looking to develop a career in revenue management.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain daily, weekly and monthly revenue reports and dashboards.
- Collect, analyse and maintain up-to-date competitive set data, including rates, availability and inventory across key channels, alongside detailed competitor product intelligence such as room types, positioning, strengths and weaknesses (SWOT), similarities and differences.
- Provide insights into competitor pricing and strategy to support informed revenue decisions.
- Support loading and management of rate codes, rate plans, promotions and restrictions in PMS and distribution systems (e.g., OTAs & channel manager).
- Monitor and optimise booking channels to ensure rate parity and accurate content & imagery.
- Provide analytical support — interpreting trends in bookings, occupancy, pick-up and competitor pricing.
- Assist with preparation of forecasts, budgets and performance summaries.
- Maintain clean and accurate data — ensuring reporting integrity.
- Support ad-hoc analysis requests to help inform commercial strategy.
- Work in the PMS and channel manager tools — helping to maintain accurate inventory and rate feeds.
- Create and maintain SOPs or documentation for routine processes.
- Work with tools such as Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, basic macros), OTAs, PMS and channel management solutions.
Who We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Previous experience working in a hotel environment — ideally front desk, reservations, or a similar role.
- Solid exposure to a Property Management System (PMS); familiarity with Opera/Guestline or similar would be a plus.
- Strong Excel skills — comfortable with analytical tasks and data handling.
- Good understanding of distribution channels (OTAs, direct bookings), and how pricing/input flows through them.
- Comfortable using reporting and analytical tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analytical thinker with curiosity and willingness to learn.
- Highly organised with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal.
What You’ll Get
- The chance to grow your career in revenue management.
- A supportive, hands-on team with a focus on development.
- Potential to stay on beyond the 1-year term.
- Being part of a small team where your impact really matters.
