About Us: Revalue is a carbon credit development platform focused on one of the planet’s most critical but complex challenges - seeing nature regenerated at a planetary scale. Our mission is to design the most cutting-edge and trusted nature credits for our planet. We are bringing together a world-class team - forestry experts, ecologists, applied AI scientists, software engineers, geospatial analysts, commercial specialists, economists, and more - to create the unique DNA required to reimagine nature credits.
About The Role: We are looking for a Head of Finance to be the architect of our financial system. We aren't just looking for someone to count the numbers; we are looking for someone to build the engine that helps us understand them. As we scale and grow, we need a "Full-Stack" Finance leader who can ensure our financial foundations are rock solid while designing the roadmap for our next stage of growth. You will report directly to the COO and work closely with the leadership team - making a lasting impact on our finance strategy.
Who You Are: You understand the duality of modern finance. On one hand, you know that Accounting Integrity is the bedrock - if the books are wrong, the strategy is wrong. On the other hand, you view Systems Design as the lever. You love the puzzle of connecting software (Xero, CRM, Payroll) to automate the manual work so you can focus on the bigger picture.
Why This Role Matters: This isn't just about keeping the lights on. It’s about building a financial nervous system that gives us the confidence to move fast. You will be the bridge between the raw data and the strategic decisions that define our future.
What You'll Build:
- The Foundation (Accounting Operations & Data Integrity): You will manage the accounting function and take full ownership of our books.
- Manage the Function: Direct and supervise our external bookkeeping firm. You will review their work, challenge their coding, and hold them accountable for accuracy.
- Own the Close: Drive a disciplined process to ensure our books are accurate and "audit-ready" by Business Day 10.
- Statutory Compliance: Manage external tax/accounting partners to ensure seamless filing of Annual Accounts, VAT, R&D tax credits, etc. You own the deadline.
- The Machine (Systems Architecture & Spend Governance): You will serve as the architect of our finance stack, optimising how money and data move through the company.
- Optimise the Stack: Audit and upgrade our toolset (Xero, CRM, Payroll, Banks). Your goal is to automate data entry and streamline processes as much as possible.
- Design Spend Controls: Architect the company’s expense culture. You will implement tools to ensure clear approval workflows and real-time visibility into burn rate.
- Scalable Processes: Build the internal SOPs that allow us to scale without the finance function breaking.
- The Compass (Financial Reporting & Cash Management): You will provide the visibility we need to navigate.
- Internal Reporting: Deliver monthly and quarterly financial packages for the Leadership Team (P&L, Balance Sheet, Variance Analysis).
- Cash Flow: Own the cash flow forecast. You will manage working capital tightly to extend our runway.
- Board Reporting: Prepare the monthly investor updates and quarterly board decks that tell the strategic story behind the numbers.
- The Future (Strategic Planning & Commercial Finance): You will partner with the C-suite and teams to build complex models that unlock growth.
- Series B Readiness: Build and maintain the multi-year financial model required for our next fundraise.
- Project Finance: Partner with operational teams to build robust financial & commercial models and implement processes to ensure project controls.
What You Bring:
- Experience: You’ve got a strong background in Finance and this is not your first rodeo.
- The "Controller" Mindset: You can spot a reconciliation error from a mile away. You take pride in accurate books.
- The "Architect" Skillset: You don't just use finance software; you configure it. You know how to integrate systems to create a seamless flow of data.
- The "Modeller" Brain: You can build a multi-year integrated financial model that stands up to VC scrutiny.
- Qualification: CIMA/ACCA/ACA (or equivalent - fully completed).
What We Offer:
- The opportunity to shape the future of nature-based climate finance.
- A mission-driven organisation with shared purpose, culture, and values.
- A diverse team of colleagues, partners and clients based all around the world.
- Meaningful equity in an early-stage startup with a growing and trusted brand.
- Flexible working environment with a team deeply committed to impact.
- Generously enhanced, gender-neutral parental leave policy.
- Wellbeing support, including company-funded access to therapy.
If you’re ready to build our Finance function and care about driving real impact - we’d love to meet you!
