Role Overview

They are looking for a skilled and adaptable VR Developer to join the core team. Your work will directly shape how the game plays, feels, and responds - from moment-to-moment interactions to deeper systems that drive engagement, monetization, and retention. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on feedback, is gameplay-focused, and can quickly identify what makes the biggest difference to players. You’ll work closely with designers, artists, and product leads to implement features, improve user experiences, and address high-impact areas based on data and reviews. A strong knowledge of Unity and a broad understanding of gameplay systems will be key to your success.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, implement, and refine core gameplay features, systems, and UI interactions using C# and Unity.
  • Respond quickly to player feedback, playtest results, and design reviews - triaging issues and prioritizing fixes or features that improve gameplay, engagement, and business metrics.
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to bring features from concept to live implementation.
  • Make continuous quality-of-life improvements that benefit players and performance.
  • Work across the codebase with a wide understanding of game systems, minimizing bugs, merge issues, and technical debt.
  • Contribute to UI implementation and logic when required, maintaining consistency with Unity’s UI systems.
  • Participate in regular sprint planning and reviews, staying agile and responsive to evolving priorities.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of professional experience in game development, with at least 2 shipped Unity mobile titles.
  • Proficient in C# and experienced with Unity’s gameplay architecture, UI systems, and scene management.
  • Proficient in Photon Fusion, able to design & create networked features.
  • Strong generalist skillset - able to jump into any part of the game and make improvements.
  • Experience working on live games, understanding how to respond to data and user feedback efficiently.
  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and optimization skills.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills - especially when working with design, art, and production teams.
  • Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git, Perforce) and conflict-resolution best practices.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with free-to-play mobile systems such as economies, progression, or events.
  • Familiarity with analytics and telemetry tools.
  • Interest in football/soccer and how gameplay reflects different play styles and flair.
  • Comfort working on both player-facing features and under-the-hood systems.
