We're recruiting on behalf of an established international wholesale bank to hire an experienced Deputy MLRO (DMLRO) to join their London Compliance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Financial Crime professional looking to take on genuine DMLRO responsibility, working closely with the MLRO and senior stakeholders across a regulated UK banking environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the MLRO with their regulatory responsibilities and deputising when required
- Supporting the day-to-day management of the AML and Financial Crime framework
- Providing advice across AML, CTF, sanctions and wider financial crime matters
- Overseeing CDD, EDD, customer risk assessments and transaction monitoring
- Supporting SARs, suspicious activity investigations and escalations
- Developing and reviewing AML policies, procedures and controls
- Preparing MLRO and senior management reporting
- Monitoring regulatory developments and supporting regulatory change
- Supporting internal audits, regulatory reviews and remediation activity
Requirements:
- Strong experience across AML / Financial Crime Compliance
- Previous DMLRO, Deputy MLRO, MLRO or senior Financial Crime experience
- Strong knowledge of the UK AML regulatory framework, FCA/PRA and MLR
- Experience across CDD/EDD, SARs, sanctions and transaction monitoring
- Banking or wholesale banking experience is highly desirable
- Strong senior stakeholder management and regulatory engagement skills
