Rev & Regs is excited to be working with a global asset management firm to hire a Senior Risk Business Analyst. The Role sits within the Investment Risk team. The Global Risk team covers the management oversight of the businesses risk profile including key risk frameworks, policies and procedures and oversight and challenge processes. The team partners with the businesses to ensure it manages its risk profile within defined risk appetite.
Responsibilities:
- Working with Project Managers to assist with the delivery and roll out of new risk projects, frameworks, and software changes.
- Working alongside the Global Risk Oversight Solutions team to contribute to multiple continuous improvement tasks.
- Working alongside Risk SMEs to conceptualise proofs of concept around new frameworks and tools and help them create the requirements that will allow such developments.
- Working with business stakeholders to capture, analyse and document business requirements.
- Working with developers to ensure that business requirements are communicated, understood and that appropriate solutions are developed.
- Testing new software applications and changes, including defining test cases and expected results.
- Assist with training and rollout of new software applications and changes and resolving any queries.
- Ability and willingness to support less experienced teammates ensuring that best practices are developed and implemented.
Experience:
Essential
- Excellent business and data analysis skills with a practical and realistic mindset.
- Knowledge of the investment management or wider financial services industry.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverable and dependencies (internal and external).
- Ability to deliver business change incrementally by grooming user stories adopting agile methodology.
- Demonstrated ability to work with complex datasets, assess data quality gaps, and required controls to support effective oversight and decision-making.
- Proven ability to communicate and work with individuals across all levels of the organisation.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills - including Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBi.
Desirable
- Experience working in Risk and implementing Risk projects and frameworks within large financial services organisations.
- Comfortable in writing SQL (Structured Query Language) statements with multiple joins to analyse data.
- Ability to leverage AI powered tools e.g. MS Copilot, and effective prompting techniques.
Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in City of London office)
Duration: 12-month FTC
