Rev & Regs are recruiting for a Financial Accountant (12-month FTC) role for a dynamic commercial and retail Bank focused on mortgages / lending.
Responsibilities:- Support in timely preparation of the monthly management accounts including, expense reporting, balance sheet reconciliation including deposit and treasury reconciliation and variance analysis.
- The provision of accurate and timely management information.
- Support in the preparation of the annual report and accounts.
- Work with tax advisors in the preparation of corporation tax returns and support the Financial Controller on wider tax compliance initiatives.
- Manage the fixed asset register and advise stakeholders on the application of IAS 38 to project capitalisation.
- Providing support during the external audit process and developing a strong control environment.
- Performing analytics on financial performance.
- Contributing to the development of Finance and initiatives for the improvement of the function.
- Support the Financial Controller in ad-hoc analysis/problem solving.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to Junior Finance staff as they work to support the Finance requirements of the Bank.
- Qualified Accountant, ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience in relevant accounting roles.
- Experience in banking / financial services either from practice or within the industry.
- Strong IT skills (especially Microsoft Office).
- Ability to communicate professionally across varied stakeholders.
- Proactive and inquisitive nature.
- Confidence to challenge existing processes and procedures.
- Experience with the following banking tools: Phoebus, ALMIS, Alfa and Tableau.
