Junior Account Manager – Financial Services & Fintech PR

We’re working with an award-winning, independent international PR & communications agency looking to hire a Junior Account Manager into its growing team.
With offices in London and the US, the agency works with ambitious brands and businesses at the forefront of innovation and change, spanning financial services, fintech, B2B technology and climate & cleantech. Its client base ranges from disruptive scale-ups through to established global businesses.
Known for taking a creative, non-traditional approach to B2B communications, the team combines strong sector expertise with data-led thinking to take client stories beyond the trade press and into national business, mainstream and broadcast media. There’s an entrepreneurial, collaborative culture where people are encouraged to take ownership, think creatively and progress their careers.
The role
You’ll play a key role across a varied portfolio of financial services, fintech and cleantech clients, including:
- Driving proactive and reactive media relations and newsjacking
- Drafting and pitching commentary, bylines and thought leadership
- Building relationships across national business, FS and fintech media
- Taking ownership of day-to-day client activity and campaign delivery
About you
We’re looking for someone with around 2+ years of agency-side PR experience, with experience across financial services and/or fintech, with:
- Strong media relations skills and a genuine appetite for pitching
- Relevant FS or fintech PR experience
- Relationships across business and/or specialist media
- Strong writing skills and excellent attention to detail
- A proactive, collaborative and organised approach
Above all, this would suit someone who loves the craft of media relations – follows the news, spots opportunities and gets a buzz from landing great coverage.
