A leading international provider of energy market analytics is seeking a Principle Market Advisor to join its Analyst and Advisory team in the EMEA region. This is a high-impact, client-facing position suited for individuals with deep expertise in European energy markets and a strong background in market modelling or energy strategy. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-value insights to support strategic investment and policy decisions across the energy sector. Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, you will serve as a trusted and senior advisor, helping customers navigate complex energy market challenges using advanced modelling techniques backed by deep market insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the group development of energy market models spanning short-term operations through long-term planning horizons.
  • Deliver actionable insights such as investment-grade forecasts, policy scenario evaluations, and asset valuation support.
  • Design and structure modeling engagements to align with client objectives, ensuring clarity and transparency in both methodology and results.
  • Contribute to industry thought leadership through white papers, webinars, conference presentations, or strategic studies.
  • Support business development by scoping technical solutions, articulating value propositions, and building trust with executive stakeholders.

About You

You are a commercially minded energy expert who is equally comfortable discussing regulatory frameworks with policymakers, refining dispatch model logic with analysts, or presenting forecasts to a boardroom. Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in energy market modeling, utility strategy, system planning, or strategy consulting.
  • Strong command of European electricity market design, regulation, and operational frameworks.
  • Proven experience with optimization-based market modeling tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and interpret long-term power price forecasts and policy scenarios.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex model outcomes and provide commercially relevant insights.
