We’re supporting a leading global PR and communications agency in hiring a Director to join their Corporate Affairs team in London. This is a senior, client-facing role working on high-profile corporate communications programmes for some of the world’s best-known consumer brands, spanning reputation management, issues and crisis, purpose, ESG and executive profiling.
This opportunity would suit a seasoned corporate communications leader who enjoys shaping narratives at the intersection of business, culture and society, and who thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
The role
- As Director, you’ll play a key role in leading and growing a strong corporate affairs practice, delivering strategic counsel to senior clients and guiding teams through complex communications challenges.
- You’ll be responsible for:
- Advising senior clients on corporate reputation, issues management, crisis communications and purpose‑led storytelling
- Leading integrated corporate affairs programmes for large, complex organisations, particularly within the consumer and FMCG space
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, including C‑suite and board‑level contacts
- Overseeing the development of high-quality content including messaging frameworks, narratives, statements, Q&As and thought leadership
- Managing and mentoring teams, ensuring high standards of delivery and professional development
- Contributing to new business activity and helping shape the future direction of the corporate affairs offer
What we’re looking for
- Significant experience in corporate communications / corporate affairs, ideally gained within a PR or communications agency
- Strong background advising large consumer brands on reputation, issues and crisis
- Proven ability to operate confidently with senior stakeholders in high-pressure situations
- Excellent strategic thinking and storytelling skills, with a strong grasp of the external environment
- Experience leading teams and overseeing complex, multi-stream programmes
- A collaborative, calm and credible leadership style
