Relaxed, flexible agency specialising in brand building and exposure for start-ups. This agency was established after their founder wanted to create a consultancy that promised to treat employees with respect, give them freedom and trust, and generally be a lovely place to work! This is reflected in their flexible working policy (they work two days a week in the office), and the fact that everyone works a 4.5 day week (but gets paid for 5!).

Their speciality is working with start-up and scale-up businesses, both consumer and B2B. Their clients are typically VC backed tech companies that are industry disruptors, covering online retailers, health-tech, lifestyle tech and charities. They're currently a small, close-knit team with huge opportunities to progress. Their culture is one of trust - there's absolutely no micro-management and the team have the freedom to work how they want. It's very relaxed and perfect for those that want more responsibility and exposure.

The Senior Account Director role

The agency is looking for either an experienced AD or established Senior Account Director to work across a variety of start-up / scale-up tech businesses, predominantly in the B2B space. Given the entrepreneurial and flexible nature of the agency, they are also very happy for candidates to come with their own areas of interest that they would like to develop, and then work with them to help win clients in that space - a super exciting opportunity for someone that's looking to carve a career for themselves in a particular area.

You will be overseeing AMs and AEs on accounts and report directly into the founder, who is hands-on with help and support. However, they are looking for someone that they can rely on to give responsibility to manage the accounts with autonomy. There's plenty of opportunity to become a key member of the senior team as the business continues to grow.

Key requirements:

  • Experience in PR at Account Director or Senior Account Director level
  • Experience working with start-up or scale-up B2B tech brands
  • Excellent writing skills, including experience writing thought leadership pieces
  • Ability to think strategically and work closely with the C Suite, but also get 'hands on' with execution

Benefits for the Account Director include:

  • Basic salary up to £65,000, dependent on experience
  • 27 days annual leave, plus additional time off at Christmas
  • Generous commission for new business
  • 4.5 day working week!
  • Hybrid working (two days in the office)
