- Essential: Full, clean driving licence
- Proficient in the use of IT systems including MS Word, Excel & Outlook
- Desirable: ARLA
- Use of SME software
- Detailed knowledge of the PRS and/or Short Lets Market
- Previous lettings experience
About the Role
The main aim of the Rettie Short Lets Team is to ensure an exceptional customer experience is provided to all our potential and actual customers. You will work closely with your colleagues in your team to ensure we deliver a best-in-class customer experience and achieve a market-leading position in our target areas.
In your role as a Letting Assistant, you will provide administrative support and assist with the check-in/out procedures within our rapidly growing subsidiary, Rettie Short Lets Limited, which deals with the booking and management of a portfolio of properties available for short-term let throughout the year. Working closely with your peers in the lettings department, you will assist them in maintaining our short let portfolio whilst delivering an exceptional client experience.
You will work collaboratively with your colleagues in our other private client teams and ensure that our processes are constantly being improved to further the integration of our long-term and short-term management businesses. In addition, you will carry out general administrative tasks as required to provide the best possible support service to the department as a whole.

Key Responsibilities
- Driving portfolio performance – working with the team to improve the performance of their properties under management, retain clients and promote portfolio growth.
- Ensuring full compliance and driving up safety standards.
- Managing administration – supporting in the administration of all aspects of the lettings and management process across the Short Lets and Festival portfolios.
- Full compliance with the processes as defined in the process manual to encompass the new short lets regulations. You will also be involved in the day-to-day accounts processes.
- Excelling in client care – to provide the highest standard of client care and satisfaction.
- Maintaining company and operational standards – to ensure standards are met and a continuous learning approach is adopted.
