Location: Twr y Felin Hotel, St Davids, Pembrokeshire, SA62 6QT

Working pattern: Casual, 34 shifts per week across 7 days. Flexible contracts available to work around studies and family life.

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Kitchen Porter to join our team at Twr y Felin Hotel on a casual basis. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, supporting the chef with basic food preparation, and ensuring all washing and cleaning duties are carried out to a high standard in line with food health and safety regulations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Cleaning and sanitising all meal preparation areas, kitchen walls, stoves, sinks, ovens and grills
  • Cleaning and sanitising the employee break room and back waste and recycling areas
  • Sweeping and mopping all kitchen areas during and at the end of shifts
  • Washing dirty dishes, cutting boards, utensils and cooking equipment
  • Ensuring food mixers, cookers and other equipment are in good working order
  • Receiving and unpacking deliveries
  • Emptying, re-lining and washing bins as required
  • Ensuring refrigerators, freezers and storage areas are clean and well organised
  • Assisting the Chef with basic food preparation including washing, peeling and cutting ingredients
  • Complying with statutory requirements for fire, hygiene, health and safety and licensing
  • Supporting the team during events including weddings, Christmas, New Year, Easter and bank holidays
