We’re looking for an enthusiastic Hospitality Assistant to join the opening team at Yarrow, our brand new restaurant in the heart of Tunbridge Wells.

This is a Bank role, working on a zero contract, to cover sickness and holiday.

Yarrow is a fresh dining destination, open to both the public and our retirement village residents, serving great food and genuine hospitality in a stylish, welcoming setting.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help launch a new restaurant, working alongside a passionate team dedicated to creating memorable experiences for every guest.

  • What you’ll be doing
  • Delivering friendly, attentive service to every guest from arrival through to departure.
  • Taking food and drink orders and serving meals and beverages to a high standard.
  • Preparing and maintaining restaurant and bar areas, ensuring they are clean, organised and ready for service.
  • Handling payments accurately and confidently using our till systems.
  • Building positive relationships with residents, visitors and members of the public.
  • Supporting the team during busy service periods to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and health & safety.
  • Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front of house teams to deliver exceptional hospitality.
  • What we’re looking for
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • A friendly, positive and professional attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A willingness to learn and develop.
  • Flexibility to work a rota that includes some evenings and weekends.
