We are excited to be recruiting for a Fitness Coach to our brand-new role at The Wyldewoods Retirement Village. You will play a key part in helping residents stay active, independent, and connected by delivering safe, engaging, and personalised fitness programmes across our E-Gym and Fitness Studio. This is a part-time role working 15 hours per week. Working closely with the Wellbeing Manager, you will inspire residents to improve mobility, strength, confidence, and overall wellbeing, while fostering a welcoming and motivating environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead group classes and one-to-one sessions, tailored to resident abilities.
- Conduct fitness assessments and design personalised programmes.
- Support residents in setting goals, tracking progress, and staying motivated.
- Ensure safe and correct use of fitness and hydrotherapy equipment.
- Maintain high health and safety standards across facilities.
- Promote participation, inclusivity, and a culture of active ageing.
About You
- Recognised Fitness Instructor qualification (Level 3 Personal Trainer desirable).
- Experience delivering exercise programmes for older adults or specialist populations.
- Confident leading group and individual sessions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and health & safety awareness.
- Desirable: E-Gym or digital fitness systems knowledge, First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- DBS and medical clearance required.
