Facilities Manager in Surrey

We're looking for an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to join Botanical Place, our newly opened retirement village in West Byfleet, and play a key role in establishing exceptional standards across the estate. This is a unique opportunity to make your mark on a brand-new village. As part of the Village Management Team, you'll be responsible for ensuring our buildings, grounds, communal facilities and support services are maintained to the highest standards, creating an environment where residents feel safe, proud and at home. You will lead the facilities, housekeeping and grounds functions, manage contractors and compliance programmes, and help shape operational processes as Botanical Place continues to grow and develop. What You'll Be Doing Leading the Estate Oversee the day-to-day management of the village's buildings, infrastructure, communal facilities and landscaped grounds Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programmes to ensure assets remain safe, compliant and well-presented Manage service contracts and external suppliers, ensuring consistently high standards and value for money Oversee housekeeping and laundry services, ensuring excellent presentation across all communal areas Supporting Residents Build positive relationships with residents and become a trusted point of contact for facilities and estate-related matters Support new residents as they settle into village life and understand available services Work collaboratively with resident groups and committees, responding to feedback and identifying opportunities for improvement Help create an environment where residents can enjoy an outstanding quality of life Compliance
