Victoria Court is 24/7 specialist 16-bed nursing home in Wolverhampton, supporting people aged 18-65 with mental health diagnoses including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, and other complex needs. We provide accommodation, nursing care, rehabilitation, resettlement, step-down support, and short-term 7-day crisis placements in a safe, welcoming, and recovery-focused environment. Our person-centred approach helps individuals build confidence, develop independence, manage their mental health, and achieve their personal goals. Our service offers 5 step-down placements, 7 rehabilitation placements, 4 flexible rehabilitation/step-down placements, and short-term crisis support, enabling us to meet a wide range of needs. What you will do as a Mental Health Support Worker? In this role, I will support individuals on their recovery journey, helping them build skills, confidence and independence. My work will include: Providing one‑to‑one key‑worker support and building positive, professional relationships Carrying out assessments and developing personalised support and safety plans Encouraging people to manage their mental and physical wellbeing Supporting individuals with daily living skills and accessing community services Liaising with mental health agencies, professionals and community groups Contributing to safeguarding and promoting a safe, supportive environment Keeping accurate records, monitoring progress and sharing information with the team Helping improve the service by offering feedback and supporting colleagues What we’re looking for: Experience supporting people with mental illness in a social care setting Great listening skills, empathy, patience, and kindness Ability to work with digital systems (Microsoft applications, email, internet) A commitment to our values and willingness to learn If you have transferable skills and a passion for helping others, we’d love to hear from you!
