Responsibilities
- Successfully completed academic course of study in line with the IAPT Low Intensity National Programme and qualified as a PWP, e.g., Post Grad Diploma in Psychological Therapies.
- PWP Accreditation with either BABCP or BPS
- Willingness to learn, adapt and evolve to meet service and organisational demands
- Completed or in the process of completing the IAPT supervision training.
- Experience of working in a supervisory role.
- Have significant post-qualification experience in offering and delivering the full range of evidence based IAPT low intensity interventions at Step 2.
- Knowledge of assessment procedures, screening, referral, record-keeping, and evidence-based brief psychological interventions.
- Significant knowledge of IAPT compliant step 2 ways of working.
- Knowledge of outcome measures and their use for clinical and audit purposes.
- Have the ability to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients and practice in a non-discriminatory manner, respecting the beliefs and cultural practices of individuals and groups.
- Confident communicator, with excellent written and verbal skills
- Experience of routine outcome monitoring and audits, utilising them to improve practice
- Proficient ICT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and clinical record management systems (e.g. System One, IAPTUS)
- The ability to remain calm, positive and professional in challenging situations
- The ability to prioritise workloads and respond positively to unforeseen demands
- The ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team, in an environment with differing priorities
- High levels of professionalism and positivity
- Willingness to utilise supervision effectively, using constructive feedback for growth and pro-actively seeking areas of improvement
I may also have:
- Experience of working with a criminal justice, or secure care environment
- Experience of managing staff and providing appropriate supervisions, appraisals and performance management processes
- Knowledge/Understanding of basic employment processes and Human Resource procedures

General Duties
- I will act in accordance with the provisions of Data Protection legislation (as amended).
- I will act in accordance with the relevant HMPPS policies, procedures and security restrictions
- I will ensure all records, personal, staff and client data are managed in line with Data Management and Information Governance policies, relevant legislation, codes of practice or contractual obligations.
- I will comply with legal and regulatory requirements such as provisions set out in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
- I will act in accordance with the charityβs Health & Safety and Safeguarding policies and to notify your line manager promptly if there are any concerns.
- I will participate in regular supervision and appraisal and undertake any relevant training.
- I will work in accordance with the charityβs national policies and local operating procedures and those of external regulators or professional bodies.
- The list of duties is not exhaustive; the line manager may stipulate other reasonable requirements and projects commensurate with the general profile and grade of the post.
