We’re looking for a creative and driven Individual Giving Officer (Acquisition) to join our growing Individual Giving & Legacies team. You’ll help us reach new supporters, share powerful stories, and inspire more people than ever to donate to our work.
This is a part time (28 hours) Hybrid role working between home and our Head Office in London – Albert Embankment. Salary for the role is £21,165.60 - £24,328 (plus £2400 London Allowance). What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll split your time equally across Mental Health UK and Rethink Mental Illness, delivering engaging acquisition campaigns that grow our community of supporters. You will:
- Plan, create and deliver inspiring fundraising appeals across digital and direct mail channels.
- Produce compelling content that cuts through the noise and motivates new donors to take action.
- Work closely with the Stewardship team to ensure every new supporter receives an exceptional welcome and journey.
- Manage suppliers and creative agencies, write campaign briefs, and ensure projects run smoothly, on time and on budget.
- Track income and expenditure, evaluate campaign performance, and help shape a test‑and‑learn culture.
- Build strong relationships across Fundraising, Communications, Impact, CRM/Data, and wider teams to maximise opportunities.
- Champion best practice, data integrity and GDPR compliance in all supporter activity.
Every campaign you deliver will directly help people receive life‑changing mental health support.
What You’ll Bring
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Have experience in Individual Giving or direct marketing, ideally in the charity sector.
- Can confidently deliver multichannel fundraising campaigns from concept to evaluation.
- Understand data, segmentation, and how insight drives performance.
- Enjoy managing multiple projects and collaborating with agencies and internal teams.
- Bring creativity, problem‑solving skills, and a passion for supporter‑first fundraising.
- Are comfortable working with supporter databases and cold data.
- Value equity, diversity and inclusion and want to be part of an anti‑racist organisation.
It would also be great (but not essential) if you have a fundraising or marketing qualification, knowledge of fundraising regulations, or experience managing innovation projects.
