Join Our Team as a Mental Health Recovery WorkerLocation: Clarence Street, Gloucester. Role: Part-time, 21 hours per week, 3 days per week. (Full-time equivalent salary - £24,545 per annum, pro-rated for part-time hours) Occasion travel to other service locations in Gloucestershire. *This role requires a Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle, with business motor insurance. Our Gloucestershire services provides independent, high-quality housing for people with mental health needs. We offer emotional and practical support to help individuals manage day-to-day living, develop skills for independence, and achieve personal goals. By empowering people to build a meaningful life in the community—defined by them—we make a real difference every day. What I will do and achieve: Are you passionate about empowering people to live independently and achieve their goals? Working with an allocated group of tenants, you’ll support individuals experiencing mental ill health to promote independence and sustain tenancies. You’ll assess needs and risks, working in a person-centred, recovery-focused way to help people build confidence and thrive in the community. Provide key worker support, including one-to-one assistance and liaising with mental health agencies. Use communication, motivation, and coaching to help individuals achieve personal goals. Build trust and rapport based on respect and honesty, maintaining professional boundaries and following the Rethink Mental Illness Code of Conduct. Support day-to-day service operations, including property re-lets, processing referrals, and ensuring health and safety across schemes. Encourage engagement in social and workplace activities, helping individuals regain confidence and independence. Essential skills and experience: Experience supporting people with mental illness in a social care setting Good listening skills, empathy, understanding, kindness, patience, and a willingness to learn. Ability to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Charity's values. Excellent administration, organisation and planning skills. Competent in the use of IT systems including Microsoft applications, email and internet.
