Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for an experienced and caring Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our dedicated team at Capper Close – a CQC Registered home supporting with severe and enduring mental health challenges. Devon Supported Housing, funded by Devon Partnership Trust, provides personalised, housing-related support to people with medium to high support needs who are moving on from hospital or residential settings. We work closely with each person to make sure the support they receive is right for them and helps them feel confident and supported in their next steps. Our recovery-focused approach encourages self-management and gives people choice and control over their own recovery journey. At Capper Close, we provide more than just accommodation – we offer support with daily living skills, personal care, finances, and rehabilitation, while encouraging engagement with the local community.

What will you do?

  • Help individuals rebuild confidence and independence
  • Support service users in achieving personal goals
  • Provide one-to-one guidance and work alongside mental health agencies
  • Build respectful, honest relationships while maintaining professional boundaries

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting people with mental illness or in a social care setting (paid or voluntary)
  • Great listening skills, empathy, patience, and kindness
  • Ability to work with digital systems (Microsoft applications, email, internet)
