Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for an experienced and caring Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our dedicated team at Topping Mill – a CQC Registered home supporting people with severe and enduring mental health challenges.
About Topping Mill
Topping Mill is a warm and supportive transition service offering person‑centred accommodation for adults aged 18 and over. We provide a safe, stable home for up to five years, helping each person build confidence, develop independence, and move on to long‑term housing within the community when they’re ready. Our modern building includes 14 self‑contained one‑bedroom apartments, each with its own living area, kitchen, and bathroom. The environment is calm and homely, with shared lounges on both the ground and first floor where residents can relax, socialise, or take part in activities.

What will you do?
In this role, you will support individuals on their recovery journey, helping them build skills, confidence and independence. Your work will include:
- Providing one‑to‑one key‑worker support and building positive, professional relationships
- Carrying out assessments and developing personalised support and safety plans
- Encouraging people to manage their mental and physical wellbeing
- Supporting individuals with daily living skills and accessing community services
- Liaising with mental health agencies, professionals and community groups
- Contributing to safeguarding and promoting a safe, supportive environment
- Keeping accurate records, monitoring progress and sharing information with the team
- Helping improve the service by offering feedback and supporting colleagues

- Experience supporting people with mental illness or in a social care setting (paid or voluntary)
- Great listening skills, empathy, patience, and kindness
- Ability to work with digital systems (Microsoft applications, email, internet)
