Join our team at Topping Mill, a CQC Registered home supporting people with severe and enduring mental health challenges. We are looking for an experienced and caring Mental Health Recovery Worker.

About Topping Mill:

  • A warm and supportive transition service offering person-centred accommodation for adults aged 18 and over.
  • Provides a safe, stable home for up to five years, helping each person build confidence, develop independence, and move on to long-term housing within the community when they’re ready.
  • Modern building includes 14 self-contained one-bedroom apartments, each with its own living area, kitchen, and bathroom.
  • Calm and homely environment with shared lounges on both floors for relaxation and socialisation.

  • 14 self-contained one-bed apartments designed to support independence.
  • Ground-floor accessible flats (4 fully accessible).
  • Shared lounges/TV rooms on both floors.
  • Great public transport links and nearby parking options.
  • On-site staff office and sleep-in space, with toilet and kitchenette.
  • A two-storey building (please note: no lift), with 6 ground-floor and 8 first-floor flats.

What will you do?

  • Support individuals on their recovery journey, helping them build skills, confidence, and independence.
  • Provide one-to-one key-worker support and build positive, professional relationships.
  • Carry out assessments and develop personalised support and safety plans.
  • Encourage people to manage their mental and physical wellbeing.
  • Support individuals with daily living skills and accessing community services.
  • Liaise with mental health agencies, professionals, and community groups.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and promoting a safe, supportive environment.
  • Keep accurate records, monitor progress, and share information with the team.
  • Help improve the service by offering feedback and supporting colleagues.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting people with mental illness or in a social care setting (paid or voluntary).
  • Great listening skills, empathy, patience, and kindness.
  • Ability to work with digital systems (Microsoft applications, email, internet).
  • A commitment to our values and willingness to learn.
