We are looking for an experienced and technically capable Environments Team Lead to manage the delivery and maintenance of client-facing test environments within a high-performing DevOps function at a growing FinTech. This role is hands-on and focused on managing non-production environments—particularly UAT and integration testing platforms used directly by clients. The successful candidate will lead a small team responsible for ensuring environment availability, stability, and quality, while working closely with stakeholders across engineering, infrastructure, QA, product, operations, and client delivery teams. Key Responsibilities * Lead the team responsible for managing UAT and other client-facing test environments. * Plan and deliver environment upgrades, configuration changes, and maintenance activities. * Investigate and resolve environment issues, ensuring minimal disruption to client testing. * Collaborate across departments to support client onboarding, testing, and integration efforts. * Oversee out-of-hours support rotations and ensure reliable coverage for critical environments. * Support the development of team members through mentoring and technical guidance. Essential Requirements * Proven experience supporting complex multi-tier environments across Windows and Linux platforms. * Strong working knowledge of cloud services (Azure or AWS). * Experience with messaging technologies (e.g., IBM MQ), SQL (T-SQL), and XML-based tools. * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as TeamCity or GitHub Actions. * Experience using configuration management tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet, or Ansible). * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams. Desirable Skills * Scripting or development experience (PowerShell, C#, Ruby). * Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes). * Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems such as Git. * Understanding of protocols like SWIFT, FIX, or SFTP. * Previous experience in a FinTech or enterprise software environment
